In June 2007 the Migration Policy Institute and the International Rescue Committee published “Bridging Divides: The Role of Ethnic Community-Based Organizations in Refugee Integration”. This study examined best practices of organizations founded by refugees who escaped violence and persecution abroad and are now helping new arrivals in the U.S. The Somali Community Center of Nashville was honored to be one of 9 organizations nation-wide which was profiled in this study.
